Lectures @ Parsons the New School for Design

The psychology of space

An analysis of the cultural implications of proxemics and the behavioral issues related to our relationship to the spaces we inhabit.

the psychology of objects

An analysis of brand, function and usability. This lecture maps out how the natural struggle between control and discovery shapes how objects are designed and evolve as humans continue to shape the narrative.

decoding boomers & post-ww2 narrative

A lecture on post WW2 narrative in the US and the impact it has had on Baby Boomers as they have grown up. Part of my Analyzing Trends class at Parsons the New School of Design.

culture networks

The idea is that there is a flattening of time and space and therefore a flattening of our traditional understanding of the relationship between subculture and pop culture. The new model of interaction is more ambiguous and requires a more expressive than reflexive view of how influence works.

the structure of trends

How trends are structured in relation to our behavior. Part of my Analyzing Trends class at Parsons the New School of Design.
